Offering confidential,

ethical, and

non-judgmental services

The first session is between 50 - 90 minutes, to be determined at the time the appointment is scheduled.  I spend the first 2 sessions conducting an intake assessment which helps me learn about your history and better understand who you are.  This also gives you ample time to begin telling your story.

It is my priority to provide a non-judgmental and comfortable environment for all people. While working with me, you can expect safe, ethical, and confidential services.  I am a mandated reporter which means that I am required to report the following:

  • Suspected or actual abuse toward a child, elderly adult, or vulnerable adult.
  • Threats to harm or kill oneself.  When a client reports suicidal intent, I will make every effort to ensure her or his safety.
  • Threats to harm or kill another person.  When a client threatens serious bodily harm to another person, I am required by law to inform the intended victim.
  • Misuse or abuse of non-medical drugs used during pregnancy.

The benefits you may gain from therapy are immeasurable.  In many cases, it is relieving just to have someone listen and be a witness to your life and worldview.  The people who benefit most from therapy are those who actively participate in the process and practice what they learn in each session.  Some benefits received from therapy include:

  • Better understanding of who you are and how you relate to others.
  • Learning to effectively manage moods, depression, and anxiety.
  • Mastering anger management and learning conflict resolution skills.
  • Developing skills to improve interpersonal relationships.
  • Finding acceptance and peace to dealing with personal loss.
  • Developing resiliency for dealing with major life stressors and change.
  • Learning how to break maladaptive behaviors and thought patterns.
